The Internal Sales Administrator plays a vital role for EASTCUT under the Macklan Group of Companies. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to both internal and external customers contributing to the profitable growth of this enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact vendors to research pricing, availability, and material specifications, and recommend appropriate materials based on project and customer requirements.
  • Respond promptly to requests from Job Supervisors, Project Managers, customers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare, issue, and accurately process vendor and customer purchase orders in real time.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, quotation, order, and project information in EASTCUT’s CRM and ERP/POS systems.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day purchasing activities and other assignments as required.
  • Coordinate the accurate and timely delivery or pickup of goods and services for internal and external customers.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service by responding to inquiries, identifying needs, and prioritizing timely solutions.
  • Prepare competitive quotes and bids in accordance with established margin objectives and market pricing.
  • Follow up on quotations to support conversion to sales orders and track outcomes, including won/lost opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer inquiries, quotations, purchase orders, and sales orders.
  • Source materials, analyze vendor costs, and establish selling prices using current market information.
  • Coordinate product logistics to minimize costs to EASTCUT while providing timely service to customers and partner companies.
  • Work closely with the Shipping team to optimize delivery schedules and asset utilization.
  • Support regular inventory counts and analysis, with a focus on inventory accuracy and appropriate stock levels.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as discussed and agreed upon.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in construction or allied industries.
    • Demonstrated experience with building material sales.
    • Highly organized and detail focused - record keeping of enquiries, bid status and win/loss ratios will be a big part of determining your success in this exciting venture.
    • A strong understanding of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
    • Experience using CRM tools.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service focus, and professional demeanor.
    • Adaptable, with the aptitude to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing needs and priorities.
    • Ability to work independently and be part of a collaborative team.
