Mechatronics Design Release Engineer - Interior Rear View Mirror

• Lead the design, development, validation, and production release of Interior Rear View Mirror (IRVM) systems.
• Manage the release and integration of mechanical and electrical/electronic components.
• Coordinate component design, CAD packaging, engineering changes, BOM, and technical documentation.
• Develop and execute DVP&R activities and support prototype and production builds.
• Work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing plants, and Tier 1 suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Support root cause analysis for production and field/warranty concerns.
• Drive improvements related to cost, weight, quality, and product performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
• Minimum 2 years of design, release engineering, and CAD packaging experience.
• Experience with rear-view mirrors or automotive mechatronic components such as latches, window regulators, interior mirrors, or seats.
• Experience releasing both mechanical and electrical components.
• Experience with mirror suppliers such as SMR, Magna Mirrors, Ficosa, or SL Corp is an asset.
• Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and database applications.
