# IT Support & Network Technician
Intricate Networks Inc. – Swift Current, Saskatchewan
Intricate Networks Inc. is an established technology company based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. We provide IT support, computer sales, networking, web design and hosting, custom software development, digital signage, and other technology solutions to businesses across Canada and the United States.
Our IT support team works with a wide range of organizations throughout Swift Current and Southwest Saskatchewan, from small businesses with a handful of computers to larger companies with complex network, server, cloud, and multi-location environments.
We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support & Network Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with clients, and dealing with a wide variety of technologies. No two days are necessarily the same. You may be troubleshooting a workstation in the morning, configuring Microsoft 365 or a network issue remotely, and installing network or server equipment at a client location later that day.
The successful applicant will be outgoing, professional, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to business and residential clients remotely, by phone, in our shop, and on-site
- Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, operating system, networking, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot business networks

- Support Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments
- Assist with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers
- Assist with backup, recovery, security, anti-virus, and endpoint protection systems
- Help maintain and support client servers and network infrastructure
- Assist with new equipment deployments, migrations, upgrades, and other IT projects
- Provide computer and software training to clients when required
- Document work performed and maintain accurate client and technical information
- Participate in occasional after-hours or on-call support
Technical Knowledge
Applicants should have a solid working knowledge of business computer and network environments, including:

- Endpoint security, anti-virus, and cybersecurity best practices
- Linux, macOS, and Unix environments
- NAS and network storage systems
- Remote monitoring and management tools
- Multi-site and larger business network environments
We support some large and technically complex client networks, so applicants must be comfortable working with network infrastructure and should understand how the different components of a business IT environment work together. We don't expect candidates to know every technology we use, but a strong networking foundation and the ability to learn and troubleshoot are essential.
What We're Looking For
- Have a minimum of 3 years of professional computer support or IT experience
- Have a good working knowledge of computer networks and networking protocols
- Be a self-starter who can organize and manage their own time
- Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Be willing and able to continually learn as technologies change
- Be comfortable working directly with clients
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Work effectively both independently and within a project/team environment
- Be dependable and able to follow problems through to resolution
- Have a valid driver's licence
Customer service is an important part of this position. Technical knowledge matters, but so does the ability to explain problems and solutions to people who may not have a technical background.
