Description du Rôle / Role Description

Il s'agit d'un poste à temps plein et en présentiel pour un Fellow en Neurophysiologie (Niveau Doctoral) situé à Saint John, Nouveau-Brunswick. Une période de formation intensive initiale devra se faire en présentiel à Montréal pendant une durée de 8-12 semaines. Une relocalisation temporaire à Montréal est donc obligatoire.

Le titulaire du poste sera responsable d'aider avec le MNP, d'évaluer et d'interpréter les données bioélectriques, et de collaborer avec l'équipe médicale afin d'assurer des résultats optimaux pour les patients. Les responsabilités additionnelles incluent l'entretien et le calibrage de l'équipement peropératoire, ainsi que la contribution à l'avancement du domaine par l'analyse de données et la recherche.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Neurophysiology Fellow (Doctoral Level) located in Saint John, New Brunswick. An initial extensive training period must be done physically in Montreal for a duration of 8-12 weeks. Therefore, a temporary relocation to Montreal is mandatory.

The Fellow will be responsible for assisting with IONM, evaluating and interpreting bioelectrical data, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating intraoperative equipment, and contributing to advancements in the field through data analysis and research.

Qualifications

• Doctorat (PhD ou MD) en Neurophysiologie, Neurosciences ou dans un domaine connexe;
• Grand intérêt pour la Médecine, particulièrement pour la Chirurgie ;
• Connaissances de base solides en Anatomie, Neuroanatomie, Physiologie et en Terminologie Médicale;
• Excellentes capacités de communication, de résolution de problèmes, de pensée analytique et de sens de l'organisation;
• Capacité à travailler en collaboration au sein d'une équipe interdisciplinaire en milieu clinique;
• Fortes aptitudes en recherche pour mener des études, analyser des données et contribuer au développement de techniques neurophysiologiques innovantes;
• Expérience en neurophysiologie clinique ou en bloc opératoire est un atout important;
• Doit être Citoyen Canadien ou Résident Permanent;
• Doit être prêt à une relocalisation temporaire à Montréal, et être ouvert à travailler dans différents endroits au Canada;
• Doit détenir un permis de conduire valide;
• Doit posséder un véhicule;
• Doit maîtriser parfaitement le français et l'anglais.

• Doctoral degree (PhD or MD) in Neurophysiology, Neuroscience, or a related field;
• High level of interest for Medicine, especially Surgery;
• Strong background knowledge in Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology;
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team in a clinical setting;
• Strong Research abilities to conduct studies, analyze data, and contribute to the development of innovative neurophysiological techniques;
• Experience in Clinical Neurophysiology or the Surgical Suite is a strong asset;
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident;
• Must be willing to temporarily relocate to Montreal, and be open to work in different locations in Canada;
• Must possess a valid Driver's license;
• Must own a vehicle;
• Must be Fluent in French and English.
