Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Hairstylist role based at The Blend Loft - South Surrey in Surrey, BC. The Hairstylist will perform a range of services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to each guest’s needs. Daily responsibilities include greeting clients, conducting consultations, recommending appropriate products and services, and maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation. The Hairstylist will manage appointment timelines, ensure a positive guest experience, and support salon standards for sanitation and professionalism. The role also involves collaborating with the salon team, participating in training, and contributing to a friendly and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Hair Styling and Hair Care skills, with the ability to perform cuts, treatments, and finishing styles for diverse hair types.
• Formal training or certification in Cosmetology, and knowledge of professional salon products and techniques.
• Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on building client relationships and delivering a positive in-salon experience.
• Clear and respectful Communication skills, including active listening and effective consultation to understand client preferences.
• Attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
• Commitment to hygiene and safety standards, including proper sanitation of tools and adherence to local regulations.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education, stay current with trends, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
• Previous salon or hairstyling experience is preferred; a portfolio of work is an asset.
